Shoulder sweeping and drain cleaning taking place
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (Oct. 9, 2023) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of routine maintenance work scheduled on Interstate 64 East in Jefferson County beginning tomorrow, October 10.
KYTC maintenance crews will perform shoulder sweeping and drain cleaning on I-64 East between mile marker 3 (near North 22nd Street on-ramp) and mile marker 5 (near I-65 interchange), requiring lane closures from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The right lane will be closed on Tuesday, October 10, and the left lane will be closed on Wednesday, October 11.
Signs in the area will notify drivers of the work. Motorists should obey restrictions and drive cautiously through the work zone.
