Crews to perform concrete slab repairs
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (Sept. 27, 2023) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of lane closures on Interstate 65 North and South beginning Friday, September 29, in Bullitt County.
The right two lanes on I-65 North from mile marker 121 (Exit 121/Brooks Road) to mile marker 123, and the right two lanes on I-65 South from mile marker 117 (Exit 117/Mt. Washington/Shepherdsville) to mile marker 116 will be closed beginning Friday, September 29, at 7 p.m.
The lane closures will continue through Sunday, October 1, at 2 p.m., as crews perform concrete slab repairs. The weekend lane closures are necessary to allow ample time for the concrete to cure. Motorists should obey restrictions and use caution when traveling through the work zone.
Due to ongoing construction for the I-65 roadway rehabilitation project between mile marker 104.7 and mile marker 110.7, motorists should plan for increased travel times and seek an alternate route by using navigation apps like Waze.
