U.S. 27 and KY 1567 Intersection Project to Begin Next Week in McCreary County
SOMERSET, Ky. (Sept. 1, 2023) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists that starting Tuesday, Sept. 5 crews will begin work on a Highway Safety Improvement project at the intersection of U.S. 27 (mile point 6.991) and KY 1567 in McCreary County.
The project will consist of roadway rehabilitation, asphalt surfacing, minor widening, and guardrail replacement.
During the project, which is expected to be completed by Oct. 31, traffic will be reduced to one lane through the intersection.
KYTC asks motorists to be aware of the work zone, expect delays, and to utilize safe driving habits when traveling through the area.
The dates and duration of work may be adjusted for inclement weather or other unforeseeable delays.
