Update - Interstate 75 rehabilitation project in

Fayette County

Between Man O War Boulevard and the Clays Ferry Bridge

LEXINGTON, Ky. (August 30, 2023) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists that this news release serves as an update. Work continues for both North and Southbound Interstate 75. The project limits are between Man O War Boulevard (milepoint 107.445) and the Clays Ferry Bridge (milepoint 97.865).

The operations include asphalt pavement and roadway rehabilitation for a total of 09.58 miles. The anticipated completion date for the entire project is October 1, 2023.

Interstate 75North and Southbound

Update:

  • the following ramp closures will be in effect for milling and paving
  • only two ramps will be closed at a time

Wednesday, August 30 through Thursday, August 31 currently and until 6 a.m. on Thursday

  • Exit 99 Northbound Off Ramp (first half of the night)
  • Exit 99 Northbound On Ramp (second half of the night)
  • Exit 99 Southbound Off Ramp (first half of the night)
  • Exit 99 Southbound On Ramp (second half of the night)

Thursday, August 31 through Friday, September 18 p.m. Thursday until 6 a.m. Friday

  • Exit 99 Northbound Off Ramp
  • Exit 99 Northbound On ramp  

Note: message boards are in place advising motorists to utilize Exit 104 in lieu of Exit 99

Currently and until further notice:

  • single lane closures during the hours of 6 a.m. until 8 p.m. (Mondays through Fridays)
  • single lane closures during the hours of 6 a.m. until 11:59 p.m. (Saturday)
  • single lane closures during the hours of 12 a.m. until 8 p.m. (Sunday)
  • double lane closures during the hours of 8 p.m. until 6 a.m. (Sundays through Fridays)

All work/closures are scheduled on a tentative basis, and subject to change depending on weather, emergencies and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.

District 7 includes: Anderson, Bourbon, Boyle, Clark, Fayette, Garrard, Jessamine, Madison, Mercer, Montgomery, Scott and Woodford Counties
