Evening/Overnight Single Lane Closure on I-71 in Boone County for Maintenance Project
Maintenance project expected to be completed in three weeks
COVINGTON, Ky. (Aug. 22, 2023) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) District 6 Office announces an evening/overnight single lane closures on I-71 in Boone County, as part of a maintenance project.
Crews will be working on I-71 from the Boone/Gallatin County line (69.92 mile point) to the I-71/75 split (76.43 mile point), a distance of 6.51 miles. This work will require a single lane closure between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m. All lanes will reopen by 5 a.m.
Access to the commercial vehicle weigh station will be maintained throughout the entirety of the project.
Please drive carefully through the project area to keep our crews safe.
The project is expected to be completed by Sept. 15, 2023.
