Update - The Bluegrass Parkway/KY 9002 project in Anderson County
Between Exit 48 and the Anderson-Mercer County line
LEXINGTON, Ky. (August 17, 2023) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises that this news release serves as an update. The asphalt rehabilitation work continues. Lane closures and changes for traffic patterns are necessary for the operations. The anticipated completion date for the project is November 15, 2023.
Thursday, August 17 through Wednesday, November. 15 – 8 p.m. Thursday, August 17 through Wednesday, November 15, at 7 a.m. (times are approximate)
The Bluegrass Parkway/KY 9002
- traffic will be shifted to the Eastbound side of the parkway
- work hours continue to be twenty-four hours a day/seven days a week
- lane closures and traffic pattern changes are between milepoints 47.170 and 51.838
- the section for work is approximately one mile west of Exit 48 extending near the Anderson-Mercer County line
- signage will be in place advising motorists of changing traffic pattern
- motorists can continue to pass through the work zone
All work/closures are scheduled on a tentative basis, and subject to change depending on weather conditions, emergencies and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.
