Be alert for intermittent lane restrictions to allow finish work in the next few weeks
PADUCAH, Ky. (July 28, 2023) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) has reopened a section of KY 994/Old Mayfield Road in Paducah.
KY 994/Old Mayfield Road has been closed to through traffic between Division Street and U.S. 60/Irvin Cobb Drive/South 21st Street to allow the roadway to be reconstructed with new curb and gutter and new concrete pavement. The work corrects drainage problems and pavement issues that have plagued this section of roadway for many years.
While the roadway has reopened to traffic, motorists should continue to use caution and be alert for intermittent lane restrictions over the next few weeks to allow some landscaping and other finish work along the curb line.

Harper Construction, Inc., is the prime contractor on this $1.5 million highway improvement project.
