Section of KY 1450 (Blue Lick Road) to Close for Sixteen Days in Jefferson County
The closure is part of an ongoing widening project
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (July 14, 2023) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of the closure of a section of KY 1450 (Blue Lick Road) for sixteen days in the Okolona neighborhood of Jefferson County.
KY 1450 will be closed from 6 a.m. Saturday, July 15, to 6 a.m. Tuesday, July 31, from KY 61 (Preston Highway) to South Park Road. Motorists will have access to homes and businesses, but KY 1450 will be blocked at Fishpool Creek, located between Foreman and Altair Lanes.
Crews will be placing subgrade over the culvert at Fishpool Creek and will be placing asphalt pavement throughout the project limits.
Electronic message boards alerting motorists of the scheduled closure have been installed. Motorists should follow the posted detour beginning on Saturday, July 15, at 6 a.m.: KY 61 to South Park Road and vice versa.
