Update - US 460 project in Bourbon County
US 460 between Paris and Georgetown (milepoints 1.0 and 7.7)
LEXINGTON, Ky. (June 8, 2023) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists that this news release serves as an update. Work continues for US 460 in Bourbon County. The anticipated completion date for the grade and drain project is Nov. 15, 2023.
Grade and drain is the reshaping of acreage between points in the landscape. The main purpose of grading is to properly drain the site, divert water away from structures, and prevent flooding.
US 460
Intersection of KY 1876 and US 460:
- a closure will be in effect at milepoint 1.8 for the construction of approaches
- KY 1876 is Elizabeth Station Road/Southbound and Clay Kiser Road/Northbound of the intersection
Friday, June 9 through Friday, June 30 – 7 a.m. Friday, June 9 until 7 a.m. Friday, June 30
- Clay Kiser Road/KY 1876 will be closed at the intersection with Georgetown Road/US 460
- motorists will need to follow the signed detour between Cynthiana Road/US 27 and Georgetown Road/US 460
Tuesday, June 13 through Friday, June 30 – 7 a.m., Tuesday, June 13 until 7 a.m. Friday, June 30
- Elizabeth Station Road/KY 1876 will be closed at the intersection with Georgetown Road/US 460
- motorists will need to follow the signed detour from Hume Bedford Road/KY 1939 to Russell Cave Road/KY 353 to Georgetown Road/US 460
All work/closures are scheduled on a tentative basis subject to change depending on weather conditions, emergencies, and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.
District 7 includes Anderson, Bourbon, Boyle, Clark, Fayette, Garrard, Jessamine, Madison, Mercer, Montgomery, Scott, and Woodford Counties
