Duke Energy Schedules Temporary Lane Closures on KY 1017 (Turfway Road) in Boone County on Monday, April 3
Duke Energy replacing overhead wire, two 10 minute closures needed
COVINGTON, Ky. (March 31, 2023) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) District 6 Office advises motorists of temporary lane closures on KY 1017 (Turfway Road) at mile point 3.22, to allow Duke Energy to replace an overhead wire just east of the Interstate 75 ramps.
The work will take place from 11 p.m., Monday, April 3, to 2 a.m., Tuesday, April 4. There will be two 10 minute lane closures as part of the work.
Locations where traffic will be temporarily stopped during the 10 minute closures:
The first location will be the KY 1017 (Turfway Road) exit ramp off I-75 northbound. This ramp will be closed to KY 1017 eastbound.
The second location is KY 1017 eastbound traffic. It will be closed just east of the overpass, but traffic from KY 1017 to I-75 northbound will not be affected.
Lastly, KY 1017 westbound traffic will be stopped just west of the intersection of KY 18 (Burlington Pike) and Curtis Ave.
Law enforcement will be assisting with the temporary closures. Motorists are advised to seek an alternative route during this time to avoid delays.
