UPDATE:  Trigg County Highways/Roads Blocked to Facilitate Ft. Campbell Helicopter Crash Response

Roadways to remain blocked until further notice

PADUCAH, Ky. (March 30, 2023)  Trigg County Emergency Management is continuing to assist Kentucky State Police, the Trigg County Sheriff's Department, and Fort Campbell Military Police with the response to a crash involving two Fort Campbell helicopters.

The following roadways in Trigg County are reported as blocked at this time to assist with the crash investigation:

KY 272/Canton Pike
Blocked between U.S. 68 and KY 1175/Old Dover Road (Mile Point 0.0 to 1.5)

KY 3568/Canton Road
Blocked between Averitt Road and KY 272 (Mile Point 2.1 to 2.95) 

KY 1062/Maple Grove Church Rd
Blocked between KY 272/Old Canton Pike at Floyd Sumner Road (Mile Point 3.2 to 5.3)

Floyd Sumner Road
Bobby Light Road
Oak Grove Church Road
Lancaster Road

These roadways will remain blocked until further notice.  A map of the closed roadways will be posted shortly at www.facebook.com/kytcdistrict1.

If you are not authorized to be in the area and encounter a ROAD CLOSED barricade, please turn around and leave immediately.  If you continue to travel into the crash area you will be ordered to turn around by MPs and State Troopers.

Local access to these highways and roads is restricted to residents and authorized emergency personnel only.

Residents of the restricted area should follow specific instructions provided by MPs and State Troopers on site for access to their property.

KYTC District 1 and Trigg County Emergency Management will attempt to provide timely updates on closed roadways as military personnel continue the crash investigation.
