I-64 West Closure Set for Tomorrow in
Franklin County
Crews to repair crash cushion and perform maintenance
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (March 15, 2023) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of the complete closure of Interstate 64 West in Franklin County.
I-64 West will be closed at US 127 (Exit 53) to KY 151 (Exit 48) from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. tomorrow, March 16. The closure is to repair the crash cushion within the construction zone. During the closure, crews will perform maintenance on the I-64 West bridge over Benson Creek (mile marker 49.1).
Westbound motorists are advised to take Exit 53B to U.S. 127, left onto U.S. 60 West, left onto KY 151 South, and re-enter I-64 West toward Louisville.
Motorists should heed signage, use caution and expect delays while traveling the detour route.
