Eastbound Work Zones for Panel Sign Work
along Interstate 24 in Kentucky Today & Tuesday
Sign work to include lane restrictions
PADUCAH, Ky. (March 13, 2023) – A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) plans to replace several of the large Interstate panel signs along the eastbound Interstate 24 today and Tuesday, March 13 & 14, 2023.
There will be intermittent work zones at the following locations as the crew replaces damaged panel signs:
Monday, March 13 I-24 Eastbound McCracken County - all traffic moved to left-hand or passing lane at 8.61mm and 9.71mm from approximately 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., CDT
Tuesday, March 14 I-24 Eastbound McCracken County - traffic initially moved to left-hand or passing lane at 2.7mm at Exit 3 for overhead truss signage work starting at 9 a.m., CDT
Motorists should be alert for slowing and merging traffic at these locations. Some delays are possible during the movement and placement of equipment to facilitate the work.
Appropriate caution is required where equipment, flaggers, and maintenance personnel are along the roadway in close proximity to traffic flow.
