Interstate 75 Rehabilitation scheduled for
Madison County
Operations will be both North and Southbound for Interstate 75
LEXINGTON, Ky. (March 4, 2023) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of a scheduled paving project for Madison County. The location for the work is between the Duncannon Lane/KY 2872 - Exit 83 and the Rockcastle County line - Exit 73.
The project includes ditching, shoulder work, milling and repaving. Operations will begin with ditching and shoulder work. Paving will start when the asphalt plants reopen at the end of March. The anticipated completion date for the project is September 30, 2023.

Note: night and weekend work could be scheduled as operations progress
The work zone: between the Duncannon Lane/KY 2872 – Exit 83 (milepoint 83.400) and the Rockcastle County line – Exit 73 (milepoint 73.408)
Monday, March 6 through Friday, September 29 – 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. Mondays through Fridays
- the work will ongoing for North and Southbound directions at the same time
- shoulder closures will be in effect for the beginning of the project
- lane closures will be in place as work advances
- motorists will be able to pass through the work zone
The traveling public should expect delays and plan ahead for commuting times.
All work/closures are scheduled on a tentative basis, and subject to change depending on weather, emergencies and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.
