Daytime Closure Planned for KY 932 Flat Gap Rd in Letcher County
Soil Nail repairs begin Monday, Feb. 13
LETCHER COUNTY (Feb. 9, 2023) The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet advises motorists of repairs along KY 932 in Letcher County beginning Monday, Feb. 13. Crews will repair embankments at mile point 4.1 ( 4.1 miles East of US 119 and .6 miles West of KY 3405) along Flat Gap Road.
Work is expected to take two to three weeks to complete as crews drill and stabilize the route. KYTC will close the road Monday through Friday from 7:45 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily during repairs as roads are narrow and large equipment will be used. School bus traffic will be accommodated during the morning and evening commutes; however, all other traffic will need to use an alternate route.
Motorists are encouraged to pay close attention to the area's signage and equipment parked during daytime and overnight hours.
GSI has been contracted to perform the work. Work is subject to change based on weather conditions.
