Multiple Embankment Repairs for KY 15X Whitesburg
One lane traffic and delays begin Monday
LETCHER COUNTY (Feb 4, 2023) The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet advises motorists of multiple embankment repairs along KY 15X in Letcher County. Crews will begin repairing embankments at mile point 0.9 ( .9 miles West of KY 2034) near Hospital Road.
Work is scheduled to take approximately one week. One lane traffic and delays are expected due to the equipment needed and narrow road widths. Crews will work Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. beginning Monday, Feb. 6.
Motorists are encouraged to pay close attention to signage in the area as well as equipment parked during daytime and overnight hours.
King Crete has been contracted to perform the work. Schedules are subject to change based on weather.
