New signal for Citation Boulevard and
Sandersville Road in Fayette County
The signal location is milepoint 0.79
LEXINGTON, Ky. (Jan. 24, 2023) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of a new signal installation. The signal is located at Citation Boulevard and Sandersville Road. This signal is currently in “flash” mode. Full activation for this signal will be forthcoming.
Tuesday, Jan. 24 through Friday, Jan. 27 – currently and until after 9 a.m. on Friday
- the signal will continue in “flash” mode
Friday, Jan. 27– between the hours of 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.
- the signal will be fully activated
Citation Boulevard and Sandersville Road
- this will be a 6 - phase signal at milepoint 0.79
- Citation (the main line) – the left turn will be protected - permitted with a green arrow and flashing yellow arrow
- Sandersville Road - left turn movements will be permitted only with a flashing yellow arrow
Motorists should be aware of traffic pattern changes when traveling through the area.
All work/closures are scheduled on a tentative basis and subject to change depending on weather conditions, emergencies and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.
