Bridge Construction near KY 805 in Letcher County begins Monday Dec. 19
Delays expected for WD Hollow Road
LETCHER COUNTY (Dec. 18, 2022) The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet advises motorists of possible delays as work begins on a bridge replacement in Letcher County. Crews will begin construction on WD Hollow Road just off KY 805 in the Neon area. The work site is located at mile point 3.3 (.30 miles East of KY 317).
Work is scheduled to begin Monday, Dec. 19, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m daily. Construction is expected to take 6 to 8 weeks, depending on weather conditions. Traffic will continue to use the current detour while the new bridge is being built downstream. Delays are possible due to the size of the equipment needed and narrow road widths.
Motorists should watch for signage and equipment parked near the work zone during the day and overnight hours. Schedules are subject to change based on weather.
