Section of the U.S. 31-W Bypass in Bowling Green to Temporarily Close for Utility Project
Motorists should seek alternate route
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (Sept. 7, 2022) – A Bowling Green Municipal Utility (BGMU) project will temporarily close a section of the U.S. 31-W Bypass in Bowling Green next week. The U.S. 31-W Bypass will close between U.S. 231 Broadway Avenue and E. 15 Avenue beginning Monday, Sept. 12 at 6 a.m. The roadway is expected to open by the afternoon of Friday, Sept. 23. The work schedule is weather dependent.
Local access on the U.S. 31-W Bypass will be maintained as much as possible, however, local traffic may have to use the alleyways for access. Motorists should expect heavy traffic, delays, and should seek an alternate route if possible. Message boards to warn motorists will be placed.
This closure is one of a series of closures that will take place in the coming weeks and months by BGMU. More information on those will be released as a later date.
