Operations scheduled for two routes in
Jessamine County
Thinlay application as preventative maintenance
LEXINGTON, Ky. (Sept. 4, 2022) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of scheduled operations for two routes in Jessamine County. Preventative maintenance, Thinlay application, will include milling and paving. Thinlay is an asphalt mix that can be placed at certain levels of thickness. The technique of Thinlay provides extended pavement life and enhanced safety.
Tuesday, Sept. 6 – 7 a.m. until 5 p.m.
Pekin Pike/KY 33
- work will be in effect between Harrodsburg Road/US 68 (milepoint 0.00) and the Jessamine-Woodford County line (milepoint 1.262)
- alternating lane closures will be in effect --- motorists will be able to pass through the work zone
Wednesday, Sept. 7, Thursday, Sept. 8 – 7 a.m. until 5 p.m. each day
Lexington Road/KY 29
- work will be in effect between 0.015 miles north of Latimer Boulevard (milepoint 5.490) and 0.111 miles south of Harrodsburg Road/US 68 (milepoint 6.880)
- alternating lane closures will be in effect --- motorists will be able to pass through the work zone
All work/closures are subject to change depending on weather, emergencies, and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.
District 7 includes: Anderson, Bourbon, Boyle, Clark, Fayette, Garrard, Jessamine, Madison, Mercer, Montgomery, Scott and Woodford Counties
