I-64, I-65, I-71, I-264, I-265 & KY 841: Nightly lane closures and delays are possible while crews perform striping and pavement marker work in a mobile operation between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. Motorists should provide plenty of space to crews displaying “WET PAINT” signage and be observant of slowed vehicles while moving through the work zone.

I-65 South: The off-ramp for Exit 134 to Arthur Street/KY 61 will be closed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 6, and Wednesday, Sept. 7. This is a complete closure to allow the sewer district to repair storm drains at the base of the ramp on Arthur Street. Motorists can detour to Exit 133.

I-71: Nightly lane closures and delays are possible in the northbound lanes from mile marker 3.7, near the bridge over Blankenbaker Lane, to mile marker 9, near the I-265 interchange, and in the southbound lanes from mile marker 8, just past the interchange, to mile marker 3.7 for asphalt paving. The project is expected to be completed by fall 2022.

I-264 East (Watterson Expressway): The off-ramp for Exit 23A to I-71 North will be closed from 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 6, to 7 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 7, and again from 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 7, to 7 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 8. This is a complete closure. Motorists can detour to I-71 South and take Exit 2 for Zorn Avenue to get to I-71 North. The work is part of an asphalt resurfacing project for Interstate 71.

U.S. 31E (Bardstown Road/Baxter Avenue): Crews will be working on sidewalks and occupying parking lanes between Bonnycastle Avenue to Bardstown Road. Overnight lane closures may be possible from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. for additional sidewalk work that cannot be completed from parking lanes. This is part of an overall Highway Safety Improvement Program within the Bardstown Road corridor.

U.S. 31E (Baxter Avenue): The bridge carrying traffic over South Fork, a branch of Beargrass Creek, is closed for repairs. Posted detour: Cooper Street to Payne Street to Lexington Road to East Liberty Street and vice versa. The project is expected to be completed in late summer or early fall 2022.

U.S. 31E (Buechel Bypass): Right lane of the bridge closed over the Norfolk Southern Railroad (mile point 10.4). A contractor is repairing the span after a routine inspection in 2021 identified areas that needed work. The contractor is coordinating with the railroad to be able to cross the tracks to complete the repairs. The project is expected to be completed no later than spring 2023.

KY 146 (New LaGrange Road): Nightly lane closures are possible from 8 p.m. to 7 a.m. from U.S. 60 (Shelbyville Road) at mile point 0.017 to Whipps Mill Road at mile point 2.565 for milling and asphalt resurfacing. The project is expected to be completed by fall 2022.

KY 155 (Taylorsville Road): Nightly lane closures and delays are possible from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. between Harrods Old Trace/New Hopewell Road at mile point 5.711 and Hopewell Road at mile point 6.335 for base failure repairs. That area encompasses the I-265 interchange. Motorists will be directed through the work zone via flagging operations. The work is part of an asphalt resurfacing project scheduled to be completed fall 2022.

KY 864 (Fegenbush Lane): Daytime lane closures and delays are possible from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. to construct a left turn lane on Fegenbush Lane at Fenwick Drive. The project is expected to be completed by fall 2022.

KY 913 (Blankenbaker Parkway): Overnight lane closures are possible from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. between Ellingsworth Lane and U.S. 60 (Shelbyville Road) for striping operations. Motorists will be directed through the work zone via flagging operations. The project is expected to be completed fall 2022.

KY 1450 (Blue Lick Road): Weekday lane closures are possible on Blue Lick Road between Gene Snyder and Preston Highway for road widening work. The project is expected to be completed in summer 2023.

KY 1747 (North Hurstbourne Parkway): Nightly lane closures and delays are possible from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. between KY 1447 (Westport Road) at mile point 17.04 and KY 22 (Brownsboro Road) at mile point 18.424 for base failure repairs. Motorists will be directed through the work zone via flagging operations. The work is part of an asphalt resurfacing project scheduled to be completed fall 2022.

KY 1819 (Ruckriegel Parkway): Nightly lane closures and delays are possible from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. between Billtown Road at mile point 8.885 and KY 155 (Taylorsville Road) at mile point 9.364 for base failure repairs. Motorists will be directed through the work zone via flagging operations. The work is part of an asphalt resurfacing project scheduled to be completed fall 2022.

KY 2860 (Grinstead Drive): Nightly lane closures and delays are possible from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. between U.S. 31E (Bardstown Road) at mile point 0 and U.S. 60A (Cherokee Parkway) at mile point 0.968 for base failure repairs. Motorists will be directed through the work zone via flagging operations. Motorists should take note that on-street parking will be affected. The work is part of an asphalt resurfacing project scheduled to be completed fall 2022.

BULLITT COUNTY

I-65 South: The right turn lane on Exit 116 for KY 480 West (Cedar Grove Road) toward KY 61 (Preston Highway) will be closed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Mondays through Fridays and on some Saturdays. The closures are possible through Sept. 9. The left turn lanes to KY 480 East will remain open. The closure is for a utility company to relocate a gas main in advance of proposed interchange improvements. Motorists should follow this posted detour: Continue to I-65 South Exit 114 for Ohm Drive (KY 3538), proceed to KY 61 North, then turn right onto KY 480 East.

KY 480 (Cedar Grove Road): Weekday lane closures and delays are possible between Omega Parkway and Valley View Drive for work involving the road widening project. The project is expected to be completed in fall 2023.

KY 1526 (John Harper Highway): Weekday lane closures and delays are possible while crews install pavement markings between East Blue Lick Road (mile point 11.158) and Spring Meadow Drive (mile point 12.6). The project is expected to be completed summer 2022.
FRANKLIN COUNTY

I-64 West: The off-ramp for Exit 58 to U.S. 60 Versailles/Frankfort will be closed from 7 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 8, through 5 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 10. This is a complete closure for concrete repairs on the ramp. Motorists can detour to Exit 65 at Midway and take U.S. 421 North to get to U.S. 60.

I-64: Daily lane shifts and traffic delays are possible from mile marker 47 to mile marker 52 for an ongoing bridge replacement project. The four sets of bridges being replaced are over KY 2817 (Cardwell Lane) at mile point 51.5; KY 151 (Graefenburg Road) at mile point 46.4, South Benson Creek at mile point 49.1 and KY 1665 (Evergreen Road) at mile point 49.8. The project is expected to be completed in late fall 2023. On I-64 West, rolling roadblocks will be conducted between exit 53 (U.S. 127/Lawrenceburg Road) and exit 48 (KY 151), both in Franklin County. On I-64 East, rolling roadblocks will be conducted between exit 43 (KY 395/Waddy Road) in Shelby County to exit 48 (KY 151) in Franklin County. The rolling roadblocks are for construction accessibility and will occur during non-peak daytime hours. Message boards will be placed approximately eight miles ahead of the rolling roadblocks advising motorists of current conditions in each direction, and law enforcement will be maintaining rolling roadblock restrictions.

U.S. 60 (Versailles Road): Lane closures and delays are possible from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at KY 1681 (Duncan Road). Crews will be replacing signals at the intersection starting on Tuesday, Sept. 6. The project is expected to be completed in September 2022.

U.S. 60 (Versailles Road): Westbound lanes shifted between Jett Boulevard/Chenault Road and KY 1681 (Duncan Road) at the I-64 interchange. Motorists should follow signs and reduce speed to navigate thru the work zone. The route is being widened for additional left-turn lanes to the Interstate 64 eastbound and westbound on-ramps. Another right-turn lane will also be constructed on the I-64 westbound off-ramp to U.S. 60. The project is expected to be completed in fall 2022.

U.S. 421 (Bald Knob Road): Daytime closures and delays possible from KY 12 (Dry Ridge Road) at mile point 11.132 extending north to the Henry County line at mile point 17.886 for asphalt resurfacing. Motorists will be directed through the work zone via flagging operations. The project is expected to be completed in summer 2022.

U.S. 460 (East Georgetown Road): Daytime closures and delays possible from KY 1262 at mile point 4.79 extending east to the Scott County line at mile point 6.114 for asphalt resurfacing. Motorists will be directed through the work zone via flagging operations. The project is expected to be completed in summer 2022.

KY 1659 (Glenns Creek Road/McCracken Pike): Full roadway closure due to 500-foot slide caused by heavy rain and flooding. Slide location is between Glenns Creek Road/McCracken Pike/KY 1659 (mile marker 1) and Harrod Carter Concrete (mile marker 2) in Franklin County. Engineers are researching an appropriate repair option. Motorists should follow signed detour: Duncan Road/KY 1681 to Versailles Road/U.S. 60 (in Woodford County) to the East-West Connector/KY 676 (in Franklin County).
HENRY COUNTY

KY 53 (South First Street): From the I-71 South ramp to Crystal Drive, a new traffic configuration will be in place, and lane closures may also be possible for work related to the intersection’s widening. In addition, a lane closure will be possible on the I -71 South exit 22 for KY 53 Ballardsville and LaGrange. The ramp will remain open. The project is expected to be completed by fall 2022.

KY 146 (LaGrange Road/West Jefferson Street): Daytime lane closures and delays are possible as crews perform signal work, concrete sidewalk repairs and asphalt milling for a resurfacing project, beginning on Tuesday, Sept. 6. Work will take place between KY 393 and KY 53 (South First Street). Motorists will be directed through the work zone via flagging operations. The project is expected to be completed by fall 2022.
SHELBY COUNTY

Reductions to one lane are possible from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. daily. The project is expected to be completed by fall 2022.

KY 44 (Mt. Eden Road): Daytime closures and delays are possible from Beech Creek Bridge (mile point 4.197) to KY 636 (Van Buren Road) at mile point 7.677 for asphalt resurfacing. Motorists will be directed through the work zone via flagging operations. The project is expected to be completed in fall 2022.

KY 53 (Mt. Eden Road): Work to widen a portion of the roadway from St. Regis Drive at mile point 6.4 to U.S. 60 at mile point 8. Two lanes of traffic will remain open to motorists throughout the project duration. The project is expected to be completed by late fall 2022.

KY 55: New traffic at KY 55 (Freedom’s Way) and Midland Industrial Drive will be turned on at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 8. Electronic message boards in the area will notify motorists of the change.

The construction includes widening shoulders, an extension of culvert pipes, ditch cleaning, and tree clearing. The project also includes curve realignments. KY 55 may be reduced to one lane of traffic during the project. Motorists will be directed through the work zone via flagging operations and temporary traffic signals. There are no time restrictions on daily lane closures. The project is expected to be completed in summer 2023.

KY 1848 (Todd’s Point Road): Safety improvements will take place between Grand Central Drive at mile point 6.4 and KY 362 (Aiken Road) at mile point 10.6. Safety improvements include ditching operations to improve drainage, adding shoulders to eliminate the current drop-offs in certain areas, new signage, and a curve realignment. During construction, KY 1848 may be reduced to one lane during daytime hours. Motorists will be directed through the work zone via flaggers. The project is expected to be completed by late fall 2022.

KY 2258 (Old Seven Mile Pike): Daily lane closures and delays possible from KY 53 (Mount Eden Road) at mile point 0 to mile point 0.4 beginning on Tuesday, Sept. 6., for asphalt resurfacing. Motorists will be directed through the work zone via flagging operations. The project is expected to be completed by September 2022.
SPENCER COUNTY

KY 44 (Mount Washington Road): Daily lane closures and delays possible from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. beginning on Tuesday, Sept. 6, between mile point 8.5 and mile point 9.9 while crews perform thin-lay paving in a mobile operation. The majority of the work will be performed on Saturday, Sept. 10, to minimize disruptions for nearby Spencer County Middle School and Spencer County Elementary School. The project is expected to be completed in September 2022.

KY 48 (Highgrove Road): Daily lane closures and delays possible from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. beginning on Tuesday, Sept. 6, from Highgrove to Fairfield while crews perform thin-lay paving in a mobile operation. The project is expected to be completed in September 2022.

Motorists will be directed through the work zone via flagging operations. The project is expected to be completed by fall 2022.
