Embankment Repairs for part of US 460 in Pike County Scheduled to Begin Friday, Aug. 12

Traffic will be reduced to one lane

PIKEVILLE, Ky. (Aug. 10, 2022) – Embankment repairs will require one-lane traffic on part of US 460 (East Shelbiana Road) in Pike County this month.

Beginning Friday, Aug. 12, contractors will move from where they’re working on KY 194 to US 460 Just east of Upper Chloe between Red Creek Road and Peyton Creek (milepoint 3.2, or three miles east of US 23 at Kewanee) for installation of a soil nail retaining wall to help prevent future roadside breaks.

During construction, US 460 will be one lane controlled by temporary traffic signals. Motorists should expect delays for the next two to three weeks or until work is complete.
