for I-264 in Jefferson County
A contractor will be repairing concrete slabs
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (Aug. 10, 2022) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of multiple lane closures on Interstate 264 (Henry Watterson Expressway) scheduled for this weekend in Jefferson County.
The left two lanes of I-264 West will be closed from 7 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 12, through 12 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 15, as motorists approach Exit 20 for U.S. 60 (Shelbyville Road) in St. Matthews. Motorists will be diverted onto the collector-distributor ramp for Interstate 64, where they can merge back onto I-264 near Breckenridge Lane. Drivers will not have to exit onto I-64 or U.S. 60.
The right and center lanes of I-264 West will also be closed from 7 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 12, through 12 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 15, at mile marker 16.6. That’s just past Exits 17A and B for KY 155 (Taylorsville Road). The on-ramp from KY 155 to I-264 West will remain open.
A contractor will be repairing concrete slabs. The lanes will remain closed after crews have made the repairs to allow ample concrete curing time. Motorists should heed signage, use caution and expect delays while traveling through the work zones.
The date and duration of this work may be adjusted if inclement weather or other unforeseen delays occur.
