Partial Ramp Closure on I-65 South
Set for Bullitt County
There will be no right turn off Exit 116 to KY 480 West
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (Aug. 5, 2022) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of a partial ramp closure scheduled to begin this week on I-65 South (Kentucky Turnpike) in Bullitt County.
The right turn lane on Exit 116 for KY 480 West (Cedar Grove Road) toward KY 61 (Preston Highway) will be closed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Mondays through Fridays and on some Saturdays. The closures are possible starting today, Aug. 5, through Sept. 9. The left turn lanes to KY 480 East will remain open to traffic. The closure is for a utility company to relocate a gas main in advance of proposed interchange improvements.
Electronic message boards will alert drivers of the closure. Motorists should follow this posted detour: Continue to I-65 South Exit 114 for Ohm Drive (KY 3538), proceed to KY 61 North, then turn right onto KY 480 East.
Drivers should use caution and expect delays while traveling through the work zone. The date and duration of this work may be adjusted if inclement weather or other unforeseen delays occur.
