Northbound inspections concluded one day early

The inspection for US 41 Twin Bridges has been COMPLETED.

MADISONVILLE, Ky. (July 30, 2022) – Bridge inspections on the northbound lanes of the U.S. 41 Twin Bridges in Henderson County concluded a day early on Friday, July 29. Inspectors accelerated scheduled work on the southbound lanes and began work today.

Southbound inspections have concluded for the day and will resume on Sunday, July 31 from 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. CT.

"While it was good news that work on the northbound lanes wrapped up early, we apologize for not communicating the schedule change and for any inconveniences caused," said Department of Highways District 2 Chief District Engineer Deneatra. "We have recalibrated and expect this necessary project to proceed smoothly. With favorable weather conditions, we are optimistic the work will end earlier than planned."

To minimize traffic impacts during peak commute times, engineers will be on-site in the morning and in the afternoon.

  • 9:00 am - 3:00 pm
  • 5:30 pm - 8:00 pm

Crews will utilize a UBIV (Under Bridge Inspection Vehicle). The project is scheduled to be complete by Friday, Aug. 5.

Motorists should anticipate lane restrictions and reduced speeds. Motorists should also budget more drive time to reach their destination.
