Project to begin for KY 52 in Madison County
The relocation of KY 52 from Wallace Mill Road to the
Duncannon/I-75 Interchange
LEXINGTON, Ky. (July 31, 2022) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of the beginning work for the KY 52 project in Madison County. This project is the relocation of KY 52 from Wallace Mill Road to the Duncannon/Interstate 75 Interchange. The anticipated date of completion is November 1, 2024. The traveling public will be informed of impacts throughout the duration of the project.
Monday, August 1 – work begins 7 a.m. Monday and is anticipated to continue until 7 a.m. Nov. 1, 2024
KY 52 – the relocation of KY 52 from Wallace Mill Road to the Duncannon/I-75 Interchange
- project milepoints: between the existing 1.0 and extending to the new portion of roadway that will be milepoint 6.83
- motorists can travel throughout the work zone
- delays will be due to necessary stops throughout the project --- flaggers will be onsite to guide and direct the traveling public
Alternate Route:
- KY 1295 from KY 52 in Garrard County to KY 52 in Madison County
Motorists should expect and plan for delays and utilize an alternate route if possible.
All work/closures are scheduled on a tentative basis, and subject to change depending on weather, emergencies and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.
District 7 includes: Anderson, Bourbon, Boyle, Clark, Fayette, Garrard, Jessamine, Madison, Mercer, Montgomery, Scott, and Woodford Counties
