Pike County Bridge Reopens After Emergency Flood Repairs Today

KY 1469 bridge now open

PIKE COUNTY (July 30, 2022) - As of 3:30 p.m., Kentucky Transportation Cabinet crews have reopened a bridge on KY 1469, Right Fork of Long Fork, following emergency temporary repairs.

The bridge is located at mile marker 3.12, approximately one-tenth of a mile west of Bobs Branch (1.4 miles Southwest of KY 3414 and 8.1 miles west of KY 610).

Crews closed the bridge earlier this morning to haul rock and fill a portion of the road that washed out near the east side abutment due to recent flooding. These repairs are a temporary solution to allow traffic to cross the bridge safely.

Motorists should continue to use caution when traveling in flood-damaged areas and obey all posted emergency signage.
