Temporary signals, alternating one-way traffic in place for bridge project on Hal Rogers Parkway in Perry County

Drivers should slow down, use caution approaching work zone

JACKSON, Ky. Temporary signals have been put in place to control alternating one-way traffic for a bridge repair project on the Hal Rogers Parkway in Perry County.

A joint replacement/bridge deck restoration project is underway near mile marker 56 at the bridge crossing KY 80 and Big Creek. This location is just west of Exit 56.

Drivers should watch for slowed and stopped traffic, reduce speed approaching the work zone, and be prepared to stop at a red signal. Eastbound drivers should be especially cautious, as the project is near the bottom of a steep downhill grade.

Appropriate traffic control devices including signage and pavement markers are in place to guide drivers in the work zone. One 13-foot lane is in use for traffic.

The project is expected to take one month to complete.
