Traffic Advisory: Part of KY 2 Closed Next Week Near Carter City for Pipe Replacement
Closed Thursday, July 28, west of Carter City (milepoint 12.2)
FLEMINGSBURG, Ky. (July 22, 2022) – The Kentucky Department of Highways will temporarily close part of KY 2 in Carter County next Thursday to replace a collapsing pipe.
Beginning about 8 a.m. Thursday, July 28, and continuing through 4:30 p.m., crews will close KY 2 about a mile west of Carter City (milepoint 12.2) for the pipe replacement. During the closure, all thru traffic on KY 2 should detour via I-64 and the AA Highway.
Road work schedules are subject to change depending on weather conditions. Motorists are asked to heed all warning signs, slow down in work zones and remain aware of workers and construction equipment when traveling.
