Daytime Closure of KY 97 at 11mm in Southern Graves County on Monday, July 25

7 a.m., to 2 p.m., closure for cross drain replacement

PADUCAH, Ky. (July 21, 2022)  The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) plans to close a section of KY 97 in southern Graves County on Monday, July 25, 2022.

KY 97 will be closed at the 11 mile marker south of Sedalia to allow a cross drain to be replaced.  This is immediately north of the A&J Lane intersection between KY 94 and KY 339.

The roadway at this site is expected to close promptly at 7 a.m., CDT, on Monday.  KY 97 is expected to reopen to traffic around 2 p.m., Monday.

There will be no marked detour.  However, motorists may self-detour via KY 94, KY 83, KY 983 and KY 339.  Trucks should seen an approved state route based on their weight.

Approximately 1,100 vehicles travel this section of KY 97 in an average day.

KYTC District 1 will attempt to provide timely notice should the roadway reopen to traffic earlier than expected.
