Tree operations scheduled for Clark County
Project location along 351 Boone Avenue/KY 627
LEXINGTON, Ky. (July 14, 2022) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of scheduled tree operations for downtown Winchester. The operations are necessary for the safety of the traveling public.
Trees can impair sight distance, as well as create hazards with loose limbs and blowing debris. Tree trimming and removal work is performed for areas that are under the jurisdiction of Kentucky Right of Way (KRS 178.025).
Monday, July 18 – 7 a.m. until 4 p.m.
Tuesday, July 19 – 7 a.m. until 4 p.m.
Boone Avenue/KY 627
- the removal of three very large trees will be along 351 Boone Avenue/KY 627 between milepoints 7.222 and 7.404
- the traveling public is strongly advised to utilize alternate routes during the timeframe for the work
- one lane of traffic will remain open within the work zone --- delays are expected
District 7 includes: Anderson, Bourbon, Boyle, Clark, Fayette, Garrard, Jessamine, Madison, Mercer, Montgomery, Scott and Woodford Counties
All work, and closures are subject to change depending on weather, emergencies and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.
