Oldham County and KYTC Seeking Input on KY 22 Planning Study in Oldham County

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (July 13, 2022)  Oldham County, in partnership with the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC), is studying the KY 22 corridor between the Jefferson/Oldham County line and Crestwood. The study is identifying transportation needs based on safety and traffic operations.

The project team has reviewed existing conditions and previous public input to develop preliminary improvement concepts. Potential improvements could include intersection improvements and future widening projects. Take a moment to visit the project StoryMap at https://arcg.is/0a1D9C to learn more about the study. Then share your opinion by completing this online survey at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/ky22study on how you would like to see KY 22 improved. Please complete the survey by Aug. 5.

An open house public information meeting will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on July 21 at the Barn at Maples Park, 6826 W. Highway 22, Crestwood, KY 40014. Stop by to view display boards of the potential improvement concepts and ask the study team questions.

The study will use engineering and traffic data – both current and projected to 2045 – and public input to help prioritize possible short- and long-term improvements for the route. A final report is expected in the fall of 2022. At this time, no future funding has been identified to implement any of the study recommendations.
