Traffic Signal Phase Change at KY 284/KY 131 Intersection in Reidland on Thursday, July 14
Phasing change to be initiated around 9 a.m., Thursday
PADUCAH, Ky. (July 12, 2022) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) District 1 Traffic Group plans to alter the phasing of a traffic signal at the KY 284/KY 131 intersection in Reidland on Thursday, July 14, 2022.
This signal currently has split phasing for KY 284/Benton Road (the west leg) and KY 1887/Park Road (the east leg) where each direction now has a separate green phase.
Starting Thursday, traffic on KY 284 and KY 1887 will have green at the same time with vehicles making left turns required to yield to oncoming traffic.
Motorists should be alert for changes in traffic flow this signal phase change will create at the intersection.
There will be no changes in phasing for north-south traffic on KY 131 at this intersection.
This intersection is at KY 284 mile point 4.096 and KY 131 mile point 5.815 in front of Reidland Methodist Church and Reidland Drugs. Approximately 6,000 vehicles travel through this intersection in an average day.
The signal phase change will be initiated around 9 a.m., CDT, Thursday.
