Closures Set for This Week
Crews are repairing a bridge struck by a vehicle
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (July 5, 2022) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of daytime lane closures and delays on KY 1447 (Westport Road) at the Interstate 265 (Gene Snyder Freeway) interchange for the next two weeks.
The temporary lane closures are scheduled from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. through July 16 under the I-265 overpass. That’s at mile point 6.7.
This is in addition to the lane closure on the exit ramp to Westport Road and Chamberlain (exit 32). The closures are for contractors to repair the overpass bridge after it was struck by a vehicle. These repairs include painting the bridge and are expected to be completed later this summer.
Motorists will be directed through the work zone via flagging operations. Drivers should use caution and heed signage while traveling through the work zone. The date and duration of this work may be adjusted if inclement weather or other unforeseen delays occur.
