UPDATE: I-24 Westbound Shoulder Closure at Truck Fire Site near 63mm in Trigg County
Estimated duration is now 7 hours or approximately 4 a.m., CDT
PADUCAH, Ky. (June 30, 2022) – I-24 Westbound has reopened to traffic at the site of a truck fire near 63 mile marker in Trigg County.
After the fire was extinguished, the truck was pushed off on the right-of-way. This has allowed both lanes of I-24 to reopen. However, caution is still required at the crash site.
A recovery crew is on-site and will be working to remove the truck under a shoulder closure. The truck was hauling clothes washers. Removing the debris will be a slow process.
Estimated duration is now 7 hours or approximately 4 a.m., CDT.
There is no impact to eastbound traffic.
Updates as appropriate.
