Traffic Advisory: Lane Closure on KY 32 West of I-64 at Morehead for Turn Lane Construction
Work being done by private developer under state permit
FLEMINGSBURG, Ky. (June 8, 2022) – Motorists should watch for lane closures on KY 32 near I-64 in Rowan County next week for road construction by a private developer.
Beginning Monday, June 13, one lane of KY 32 westbound (outbound from Morehead) will be closed between the I-64 interchange and the Kroger shopping center traffic signal. Under a state permit, contractors for Polo 1 LLC of Lexington are building an additional right-turn lane there to serve an adjacent proposed business development. Work will take about a week to complete.
The developer applied for and received a Kentucky Transportation Cabinet encroachment permit to do the work. No state transportation funds are being used for the project.
