Inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances may occur, so the information below is strictly of an advisory nature and is subject to change with no notice. Pothole patching, sweeping, drain & ditch cleaning, striping, pavement marking, and maintenance crews may work on major interstates in the Louisville Metro area only during non-peak daytime hours and at night. JEFFERSON COUNTYI-Move Kentucky (I-64 / I-71 / I-265): Find out the latest project updates here: https://i-moveky.com/. Sherman Minton Bridge (I-64 & US 150 over the Ohio River between Louisville, KY, and New Albany, IN): Find out the latest project updates here: https://shermanmintonrenewal.com/. I-64/I-65/I-71 Interchange (Spaghetti Junction): Nightly lane closures and delays are possible while crews perform striping work in a mobile operation between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. Motorists should provide plenty of space to crews displaying “WET PAINT” signage and be observant of slowed vehicles while moving through the work zone. I-65 South: Left lane closed at mile marker 136, just south of the Kennedy Bridge. Contractor repairing a roadway bridge severely damaged by a coil of steel that fell off a semitrailer. The project is expected to be completed in summer 2022. I-265 South (Gene Snyder Freeway): Left lane on the exit ramp to Westport Road and Chamberlain Lane (exit 32) closed. Shoulder and lane closures are possible on Westport Road under the overpass bridge. Contractor repairing bridge after it was struck by a vehicle. The project is expected to be completed in summer 2022. U.S. 31E (Buechel Bypass): Right lane of the bridge closed over the Norfolk Southern Railroad (mile point 10.4) due to findings from a routine inspection in 2021. It’s not an active construction zone, and the affected area isn’t visible while driving over the bridge. KYTC has signed an agreement with the railroad, and a contract has been awarded to perform repairs. Work to start in spring 2022. The estimated completion date is winter 2022. U.S. 31E (Baxter Avenue): The bridge carrying traffic over South Fork, a branch of Beargrass Creek, is closed for repairs. Signs in the area will direct drivers to utilize East Liberty Street and Lexington Road during closure. The project is expected to be completed summer 2022. KY 155 (Taylorsville Road): Weekday lane closures from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. beginning June 4 and continuing. Weekend lane closures from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. Lane closures for asphalt resurfacing work from Tucker Station Road at mile point 6.889 to Ruckriegel Parkway at mile point 8.988. KY 907 (Third Street Road): Closed from 5 a.m. on June 6 through 5 p.m. on June 10 between Arnoldtown Road at mile point 4 and West Manslick Road at mile point 4.5. Motorists will have access to homes and businesses, but there will be no thru traffic. Contractors will be shoring up a slope to prevent erosion from damaging the road on a curve near 8311 Third Street Road. The work will require the temporary removal of the guardrail at the curve. Posted detour: Arnoldtown Road to KY 1931 (St. Andrews Church Road) to Palatka Road to KY 1865 (New Cut Road) and vice versa. KY 1450 (Blue Lick Road): Weekday lane closures between Gene Snyder and Preston Highway for road widening work. The project is expected to be completed in summer 2023. KY 1747 (Hurstbourne Lane/Fern Valley Road): Overnight lane closures are possible from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. between the railroad crossing, just east of KY 2052 (Shepherdsville Road), and U.S. 31E (Bardstown Road). The closures are for asphalt milling and paving. The project is expected to be completed in fall 2022. Stonebridge Road: Bridge carrying Stonebridge Road over Muddy Fork, a tributary of Beargrass Creek, near the Blankenbaker Lane intersection is closed. Detour signs will direct motorists to use Blankenbaker Lane and River Hill Road during closure. The construction of a replacement bridge is expected to be completed in late spring 2022. BULLITT COUNTYKY 1020 (Coral Ridge Road): Closed from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Monday, June 6, through Friday, June 10, between KY 61 (Preston Highway) and KY 2673 (West Blue Lick Road). Crews will be replacing seven cross drains in that section of KY 1020. Signs in the area will notify drivers of the work. KY 1494 (Beech Grove Road): Road closures are possible from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for shoulder stabilization between mile point 5 (Mitchell Drive) and mile point 7 (Tyler Parkway) through Saturday, May 28. Signs in the area will notify motorists of the closure. Drivers should seek an alternate route to avoid delays. Bullitt County (Various Locations): Daily lane closures and delays are possible while crews perform striping work in a mobile operation between 7 a.m. and 9 p.m. Motorists should provide plenty of space to crews displaying “WET PAINT” signage and be observant of slowed vehicles while moving through the work zone.

FRANKLIN COUNTYI-64: Daily lane shifts and traffic delays are possible from mile marker 47 to mile marker 52 for an ongoing bridge replacement project. The four sets of bridges being replaced are over KY 2817 (Cardwell Lane) at mile point 51.5; KY 151 (Graefenburg Road) at mile point 46.4, South Benson Creek at mile point 49.1 and KY 1665 (Evergreen Road) at mile point 49.8. The project is expected to be completed in late fall 2023. On I-64 West, rolling roadblocks will be conducted between exit 53 (U.S. 127/Lawrenceburg Road) and exit 48 (KY 151), both in Franklin County. On I-64 East, rolling roadblocks will be conducted between exit 43 (KY 395/Waddy Road) in Shelby County to exit 48 (KY 151) in Franklin County. The rolling roadblocks are for construction accessibility and will occur during non-peak daytime hours. Message boards will be placed approximately eight miles ahead of the rolling roadblocks advising motorists of current conditions in each direction, and law enforcement will be maintaining rolling roadblock restrictions. U.S. 60 (Versailles Road): Weekday lane closures are possible Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. between Jett Boulevard/Chenault Road and KY 1681 (Duncan Road) at the I-64 interchange. Weekend lane closures are possible from Friday at 6 p.m. through 6 a.m. Monday. All other times two lanes of traffic in each direction will be maintained on U.S. 60. The route is being widened for additional left-turn lanes to the Interstate 64 eastbound and westbound on-ramps. Another right-turn lane will also be constructed on the I-64 westbound off-ramp to U.S. 60. The project is expected to be completed in fall 2022. KY 1659 (Glenns Creek Road/McCracken Pike): Full roadway closure due to 500-foot slide caused by heavy rain and flooding. Slide location is between Glenns Creek Road/McCracken Pike/KY 1659 (mile marker 1) and Harrod Carter Concrete (mile marker 2) in Franklin County. Engineers are researching an appropriate repair option. Motorists should follow signed detour: Duncan Road/KY 1681 to Versailles Road/U.S. 60 (in Woodford County) to the East-West Connector/KY 676 (in Franklin County). KY 1665 (Bryant-Benson Road): Daytime lane closures and delays are possible from KY 1005 at mile point 8 to U.S. 421 at mile point 11.9 for asphalt resurfacing. Motorists will be directed through the work zone via flagging operations. The project is expected to be completed in summer 2022. KY 1707 (Camp Pleasant Road): Daytime lane closures and delays are possible from mile point 2.7, located about one mile north of Baker Branch Road, to KY 368 at mile point 4.4 for asphalt resurfacing. Motorists will be directed through the work zone via flagging operations. The project is expected to be completed in summer 2022.

HENRY COUNTYRoutine Maintenance

OLDHAM COUNTYI-71: Nightly lane closures reducing traffic to one lane from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. are possible between the KY 53 overpass and the Oldham/Henry County line for resurfacing. Motorists should heed signage and reduce speeds while moving through the work zone or seek an alternate route. The project is expected to be completed by fall 2022. KY 53 (South First Street): From the I-71 South ramp to Crystal Drive, a new traffic configuration will be in place and lane closures may also be possible for work related to the intersection’s widening. In addition, a lane closure will be possible on the I -71 South exit 22 for KY 53 Ballardsville and LaGrange. The ramp will remain open. KY 1793: Reduced to one lane from June 6 thru July 15 between Rutland Road and Rose Island Road. Motorists will be directed through the work zone via temporary traffic signals located at each end of the job site. There are no time restrictions on daily lane closures. Closure for the relocation of a gas line. The project is tentatively scheduled to be completed on July 15. Oldham County (Various Locations): Daily lane closures and delays are possible while crews perform striping work in a mobile operation between 7 a.m. and 9 p.m. Motorists should provide plenty of space to crews displaying “WET PAINT” signage and be observant of slowed vehicles while moving through the work zone.

SHELBY COUNTYI-64: Lane shifts and closures are possible for resurfacing between KY 1790 (Hooper Station Road ) overpass at mile marker 38 and exit 43 for KY 395 (Waddy Road). Eastbound traffic shifted to right lane and right shoulder. Westbound traffic shifted to left lane and left shoulder. Reductions to one lane are possible from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. daily. Two lanes of traffic will be maintained during daytime hours. The project is expected to be completed by fall 2022. KY 53 (Mt. Eden Road): Work to widen a portion of the roadway will take place from St. Regis Drive at mile point 6.4 to U.S. 60 at mile point 8. Two lanes of traffic will remain open to motorists throughout the project duration. The project is expected to be completed by late fall 2022. KY 1848 (Todd’s Point Road): Safety improvements will take place between Grand Central Drive at mile point 6.4 and KY 362 (Aiken Road) at mile point 10.6. Safety improvements include ditching operations to improve drainage, adding shoulders to eliminate the current drop-offs in certain areas, new signage and a curve realignment. Contractors are scheduled to begin work on Tuesday, May 31, by beginning the tree removal process. During construction, KY 1848 may be reduced to one lane during daytime hours. Motorists will be directed through the work zone via flaggers. KY 55: Safety improvements will take place between KY 155 in Spencer County and KY 148 (Finchville Road) in Shelby County. The construction includes widening shoulders, extension of culvert pipes, ditch cleaning and tree clearing. The project also includes curve realignments. KY 55 may be reduced to one lane of traffic during the project. Motorists will be directed through the work zone via flagging operations and temporary traffic signals. There are no time restrictions on daily lane closures. The project is expected to be completed in summer 2023.

SPENCER COUNTYKY 55: Safety improvements will take place between KY 155 in Spencer County and KY 148 (Finchville Road) in Shelby County. The construction includes widening shoulders, extension of culvert pipes, ditch cleaning and tree clearing. The project also includes curve realignments. KY 55 may be reduced to one lane of traffic during the project. Motorists will be directed through the work zone via flagging operations and temporary traffic signals. There are no time restrictions on daily lane closures. The project is expected to be completed in summer 2023. KY 1169 (Plum Ridge Road): Daily road closures are possible from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 12 a.m. through June 15 for cross drain replacement between KY 1060 (Plum Creek Road) at mile point 0 and mile point 3. Silo Farms subdivision to KY 1633 will not be affected by the closures. Signs in the area will notify motorists of the work. Drivers should seek an alternate route to avoid delays.
