Intersection modifications along
Eastern Bypass/KY 876 in Madison County
Commencements scheduled at EKU Alumni Coliseum in Richmond
LEXINGTON, Ky. (May 24, 2022) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of changes for intersections along the Eastern Bypass/KY 876 in Madison County. The temporary adjustments are necessary for traffic to be directed during commencements.
Friday, May 27 – 5:30 p.m. until 9:30 p.m.
Saturday, May 28 – 8:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.
The Eastern Bypass/KY 876
Local police will be directing traffic at the following intersections for high school graduations scheduled at the EKU Alumni Coliseum:
- the bypass at KY 52/Lancaster Ave (milepoint 8.15)
- the bypass at Veterans Boulevard/Alumni Coliseum (milepoint 8.32)
- the bypass at Kit Carson Dr. (milepoint 8.53)
Motorists should plan for increased traffic and expect possible delays.
All work/closures are scheduled on a tentative basis, and subject to change depending on weather, emergencies and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.
