KY 1793 Lane Restrictions Begin June 6
in Oldham County
The road will be reduced to one lane for up to five weeks
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (May 24, 2022) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists that a section of KY 1793 in Oldham County will be reduced to one lane for the relocation of a gas line.
The northbound lane of KY 1793 will be closed between Rutland Road and Rose Island Road, starting on June 6. A utility company will be boring under the road to relocate a gas line that currently is in a ditch, which prevents KYTC from doing drainage work in the area. The project is tentatively scheduled to be completed on July 15.
Signs in the area will notify drivers of the lane closure. Motorists will be directed through the work zone via temporary traffic signals located at each end of the job site. There are no time restrictions on daily lane closures. Motorists should heed signage and use caution while traveling through the work zone or seek an alternate route.
The date and duration of this work may be adjusted if inclement weather or other unforeseen delays occur.
