Asphalt Resurfacing in Caldwell County on KY 70, KY 276 and KY 1603 begins Monday, June 6
Motorists should anticipate lane restrictions while this work is addressed
MADISONVILLE, Ky. (June 4, 2022) – A contractor plans to address asphalt resurfacing on Monday, June 6th, in Caldwell County on KY 70, KY 276/Blackhawk Road, and KY 1603/Scottsburg Road.
- KY 70 (MP 0.492) from 0.050 mile East of a private road extending 0.386 mile East of (MP 3.712), distance of 03.22 miles of asphalt resurfacing.
- Blackhawk Road/KY 276 from (KY 139 extending East to 0.048 mile East of Andrew Merrick Road (MP 2.337), a distance of 02.38 asphalt resurfacing.
- Scottsburg Road/ KY 1603 (MP 0.00) from KY 91 extending North to KY 278 (MP 0.560), a distance of 0.56 miles of asphalt resurfacing.
The contractor will also address base failures, wedging, and leveling on the these routes. The contractor will rock shoulders at a later time. Motorists should anticipate lane restrictions with reduced speeds while these improvements in Caldwell County are addressed. This work is scheduled for completion in late June, weather permitting.
