I-64 East Ramp Closure Set
for Today in Shelby County
Closure prompted by asphalt milling and paving
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (May 5, 2022) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of the closure of exit 43 for KY 395 (Waddy Road) from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. today, May 5, on Interstate 64 East in Shelby County.
Motorists can detour by taking exit 35, left onto KY 53 North, right onto U.S. 60 East and right onto KY 395 South.
The eastbound ramp closure is part of a larger resurfacing project on I-64 East and West between mile marker 38 at the KY 1790 (Hooper Station Road) overpass and exit 43. Motorists should expect slow-moving traffic, lane shifts and nightly lane closures throughout the length of the project. The work is scheduled to be completed this fall.
The date and duration of this work may be adjusted if inclement weather or other unforeseen delays occur.
