$13,760 award to repair damaged drainage system along Walker Street
PADUCAH, Ky. (May 6, 2021) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) has awarded $13,760 in municipal road aid emergency funds to the City of Clinton.
The funding is to assist with repairs to a storm-water drainage system damaged by flash-flooding that has created erosion issues along Walker Street in Clinton.
“The Transportation Cabinet is pleased to approve this emergency funding request from the City of Clinton to assist with the repair and maintenance of safe connections in the community,” said Transportation Secretary Jim Gray.
The award was authorized on May 2. The City of Clinton plans to start the repair work as quickly as possible.
The KYTC Division of Rural and Municipal Aid preserves a portion of city and county road funds to help cover such emergencies.
A check will be issued directly to the City of Clinton. The city will be responsible for supervising and completing the work.
