I-71 Resurfacing Project in Gallatin County Rescheduled to Start May 8
COVINGTON, Ky. (April 28, 2022) – A resurfacing project on I-71 in Gallatin County on a section of interstate has been rescheduled to start May 8. The project area begins at the Boone County line and ends north of the KY 35 exit near the Kentucky Speedway for a total of 10 miles (59.9 – 69.9 mile-marker).
Motorists should watch for lane closures and crews during nighttime hours of 8 p.m. until 8 a.m. the following morning. Work days are Sunday night through Friday mornings, weather permitting.
Hinkle Contracting Company of Paris Ky, was awarded the low bid contract for $7.7 million.
The project has an overall completion date of August 2022.
