Bridging Kentucky Project is Expected to Start on Thursday, April 28 in Leslie County
Leslie County bridge project will replace the Waterfall Lane bridge over Middle Fork Kentucky River
MANCHESTER, Ky. (April 26, 2022) - The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) District 11 Office advises motorists that a bridge replacement project in Leslie County is expected to start on Thursday, April 28.
This bridge is part of the Bridging Kentucky program’s Eastern Kentucky Design-Build Project No.1. The project is being delivered by a design build team led by Central Bridge Co., LLC J/V Bizzack Construction LLC and HDR Engineering, Inc.
This Leslie County bridge project will replace the Waterfall Lane bridge over Middle Fork Kentucky River.
A temporary diversion for construction equipment is currently being installed at the job site. This project is a realignment of the bridge downstream from its current location.
Traffic will continue to use the current bridge during construction, which is anticipated to begin later this week. One lane of KY 1780 will be closed during some phases of the project. Temporary traffic signals and flaggers will be utilized as necessary.
This bridge project has a traffic impact time of up to 60 days.
