Construction of new bridge on Honeycutt Road in Knott County begins this week
PIKEVILLE, Ky. -- (April 25, 2022) –The bridge on Honeycutt Road at the intersection with KY 582 at milepoint 4.7 over Carr Fork in Knott County is scheduled to begin later this week. The bridge is located just off of KY 582.
This is a realignment project, which means that the current bridge will remain in use while the new bridge is built. Traffic will continue to use the current bridge during construction, which is anticipated to begin this week. One lane of KY 582 will be closed during some phases of the project, utilizing flaggers as necessary. The new structure construction is anticipated to be finalized within 90 days, weather dependent.
