Update - Project continues for the Clays Ferry Bridge

Interstate 75 North & Southbound in Fayette & Madison Counties

LEXINGTON, Ky. (April 21, 2022)  The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists that this news release serves as an update. Corrective work continues for the Clays Ferry Bridge on Interstate 75.

There are some necessary schedule changes for the operations. The work includes; restriping paint on the Southbound side, pothole patching and repairing asphalt at a bridge end. The Kentucky State Police is assisting with traffic control.

Interstate 75North and Southbound

  • lane closures are necessary between milepoints 96.9 and 98.3

The updated schedule is below:

Thursday, April 21 through Friday, April 228 p.m. Thursday evening until 4 a.m. Friday morning

  • Northbound – the right/slow and center lane will be closed

Friday, April 22 through Saturday, April 23 – no work will be performed

Monday, April 25 through Tuesday, April 268 p.m. Monday evening until 4 a.m. Tuesday morning

  • Northbound – the left/fast lane will be closed

Tuesday, April 26 through Wednesday, April 278 p.m. Tuesday evening until 4 a.m. Wednesday morning

  • Southbound – the right/fast and center lane will be closed

All work/closures are scheduled on a tentative basis, and subject to change depending on weather, emergencies and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.

District 7 includes: Anderson, Bourbon, Boyle, Clark, Fayette, Garrard, Jessamine, Madison, Mercer, Montgomery, Scott and Woodford Counties
