KY 846 in Owsley County to be closed Tuesday, April 19
JACKSON, Ky. – Drivers who use KY 846 in Owsley County should prepare to use an alternate route on Tuesday, April 19.
The road will be closed near milepoint 1.2 for replacement of a drainage structure. Work will begin at 8 a.m. and should be completed by 8:30 p.m., weather permitting. The project location is approximately 0.3 miles east of the KY 1503 intersection.
No signed detour will be posted, but several alternate routes are available. Drivers can use KY 1503 and KY 1350 through Island City; or KY 3630 (old KY 30), KY 847, KY 2025, and KY 11 through Travellers Rest; to bypass the closure.
In case of inclement weather, the closure will be postponed until another suitable date.
Fewer than 125 vehicles use this section of KY 846 each day.
