Mobile Pothole Patching along Various Highways in McCracken County Today

Crew to be on the road from 8 a.m., to about 3 p.m.

PADUCAH, Ky. (March 30, 2022)   The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) plans a mobile pothole patching operation along various highways in McCracken County today.

A mobile caravan plans to work along the following state highways:

U.S. 62 in the Hannan Plaza Area of Paducah
U.S. 62 from I-24 West to KY 998
KY 1286/North Friendship Road
KY 450/Oaks Rd in McCracken County
KY 3032 East of Clarks River
KY  994/Old Mayfield Rd in the Schneidman Road area
KY 348 in the Hardmoney area
U.S. 60 along Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd and 4th Street in Paducah

The KYTC McCracken County Highway Maintenance Crew is attempting to complete these routes before rain arrives later in the day.   KYTC District 1 respectfully asks motorists to not try to stop to talk to crew members as that creates safety issues in the mobile work zone.

If you want to report a pothole, damaged sign, or any road hazards, please take note of the specific location using a highway number, with a mile point, crossroad, or other landmark, and let us know by visiting http://bit.ly/Report-A-Hazard. If you see an immediate hazard such as water over the road that could be life-threatening, please call 911.

Potholes on county roads should be reported to your local county road department.

This work caravan will generally move traffic to the left-hand or passing lane to allow work mainly along the driving lane.  There are some potholes that may require the crew to work in the same spot for an extended period.

Motorists should be alert for trucks with arrow boards directing traffic to shift lanes to facilitate the work.

Appropriate caution is required where equipment, flaggers, and maintenance personnel are along the roadway in close proximity to traffic flow.
