Lane closure established for painting project on KY 321 bridge in Johnson County

PIKEVILLE, Ky. (March 15, 2022) A lane closure was put in place today as a bridge painting project gets underway. Euro Paint LLC, the contractor that will perform the  painting operations set up the traffic control today at a bridge on KY 321 near Hagerhill in Johnson County.  The bridge is located at milepoint 3.7, 0.25 mile north of KY 1107, and crosses the CSX Transportation railroad line and the Levisa Fork of the Big Sandy River.

The painting operation is expected to take 4-6 weeks, and the northbound lane will be closed. During this time, temporary traffic signals will be in place to provide one-lane traffic throughout the work zone. Note that during this time, the lane closure might need to be switched to the southbound lane so that the rigging can be moved, so drivers watch for lane closure changes.

District 12 asks that drivers obey the traffic signals, watch for workers within the work zone, and obey speed limits to prevent any accidents.
