Traffic Advisory: Temporary Closure of KY 827 in Greenup County Next Week

FLEMINGSBURG, Ky. (March 9, 2022) – The Kentucky Department of Highways will temporarily close part of Coal Branch Road (KY 827) in Greenup County next week for roadway repairs.
Beginning Monday, March 14, and continuing through Friday, crews will close KY 827 near Alcorn Road – at milepoint 1.4, about 4 miles north of US 23 – to dig through the roadway to replace drainage pipes. The road will be closed during daytime work hours each day, and will reopen at night. Traffic may reroute using KY 7 and the AA Highway. The work is needed so the highway can be paved later this year.
Road work schedules are subject to change depending on weather conditions. Motorists are asked to heed all warning signs, slow down in work zones and remain aware of workers and construction equipment when traveling.
